Coach Lauren Martin

Coach Martin is starting her first year with the Mustangs coaching the JV Blue squad. She is teaching English II and IV and is very excited to be a part of the Mustang family.

 

Coach Martin is a 2011 graduate of Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School in Orange, Texas where she was a four sport athlete. She has a B.A. in English from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and a M.S. in Sports Administration from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Currently, she holds certifications in both English 7-12 and History 7-12. Coach Martin was head coach at Bridge City High School and Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School prior to coming to Kingwood. Most recently, she led the Lady Bears of LCM to the Regional Quarterfinals in 2021, Area in 2022, and the Regional Semifinals in 2023.

Coach Martin is family-oriented and has a fantastic support system made up of her

parents, Lane and Samantha, brothers Zachary and Ethan, and sister-in-law Nicolette. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and friends, catching Houston Dash games, and reading.
